Rich Hoppe
RH
Pitcher
|
One
of the most inspirational stores in sports today.
A natural left
hander, Rich was severely wounded in Vietnam, nearly losing his
left arm. Rich retrained himself to pitch right handed and became
the best there is... so good in fact, that the Philadelphia Phillies
once offered him a pro contract to pitch softball style.
Rich is a classic
example of self determination overcoming adversity, committing to
a dream and achieving greatness. A true figure of Americana, Rich
Hoppe is a barnstormer; the last of a dying breed - the last gunslinger
riding from town to town, taking on all comers from the All-Stars
of Anytown USA to the legends of Major League Baseball.
Originally
from Bayonne, New Jersey, Rich now lives in Burbank, California
with his wife and daughter. |
